Judicial Applicant Mentoring
Assistance in Preparing Your Application
The CAPAJA Judicial Applicant Mentoring Program was created to provide attorneys contemplating a career on the bench with guidance about how to reach that goal. As a mentee, you can obtain valuable feedback and assistance from an experienced bench officer to help you hone the necessary skills for a successful judicial candidacy. We invite you to submit an application to become a mentee.
CAPAJA is committed to increasing the diversity of California’s bench officers. We want to encourage attorneys who may never have considered applying to be a judicial officer and demystify the process for them. We encourage attorneys of every background to submit an application to become a mentee.
To be eligible for the program, an attorney must:
-
Be an active member of the California State Bar for the past five years
-
Demonstrate a commitment to serving the community
-
Have a genuine interest in applying for judicial office
Please submit your completed mentoring application and resume to Judge Charles Lee, Fresno Superior Court, at clee@FRESNO.COURTS.CA.GOV . Feel free to contact Judge Ahnn with any questions you may have.
